I don’t have insurance. Can I still obtain services? What do I need to do to get a discount?

We offer a sliding scale discount for our local patients, if you are able to pay on the day of service and we don’t have to send the bill through our billing service.  Bring a copy of your last month’s pay stub(s) and complete a short questionnaire. That’s all there is to it. Your discount will be based on family size and income.

If the health center gets grants and donations, why aren’t services free?

The health center is not government supported.  The fees for service we receive from insurance carriers pays for only 40% of the cost of operating the health center.  We rely on grants and donations to supplement these fees.

Do you have x-ray capability?  Why not?

X-ray units require a special lead-lined room with dedicated equipment operated by licensed radiology technicians.  Most importantly, reading x-rays is a special skill which should be done by highly trained personnel – radiologists.  If an x-ray (or other diagnostic imaging, e.g. CT Scan, MRI, etc.) is deemed necessary, our staff can arrange for an appointment and make the appropriate referral.
